Boys Grades: K-5 Uniform Standards
Uniform Policy
Dayspring Classical Christian School does not require the purchase of a specific school uniform or purchases from a particular vendor, but does require clothing worn to follow the following uniform policy.
Shirts
Must have collars, and may be dress shirts or polo shirts: long or short sleeved. Dress shirts may be solid, plaid, or thin striped. Polo shirts must be solid, primary colors. Shirts may have brand logos on them but may not display any other writing, messages, pictures, or other graphics.
Sweaters
Solid colored Cardigans and sweaters may be worn, but no hoodies are allowed.
Pants & Shorts
Pants and/or shorts must be khaki or navy. They must be classic cut. No cargo pants, work pants, fishing pants/shorts, or jeans of any kind. Khakis should be of a traditional khaki color. No stone or olive-colored khaki allowed. Pants and shorts may have two front pockets and one or two back slit pockets. No extra pockets allowed. No elastic waistband or elastic cuffs allowed.
Belts
Belts can be black, brown, or navy and must be worn with all pants and shorts.
Footwear
Students may wear predominantly white, gray, black, brown, or blue athletic shoes or neutral-colored dress shoes. Tall boots are allowed when worn under pants. Shoes must be closed-toe and closed-heel. Shoes may not have lights, wheels, bells, or characters. No sandals, flip flops, Crocs, or athletic slides. Rain boots may be worn on inclement weather days.
Socks
Socks can be plain white, gray, black, or blue socks are required. Socks can be no-shows, ankle length, or mid-calf length. No decorations, patterns, stripes, or designs. Only small logos, no larger than 1”, are allowed.
Girls Grades: K-5 Uniform Standards
Shirts
Must have collars, and may be blouses or polo shirts: long or short sleeved. Dress shirts may be solid, plaid, or thin striped. No animal prints. Polo shirts must be solid, primary colors. Shirts and blouses may have brand logos on them but may not display any other writing, messages, pictures, or other graphics.
Sweaters
Solid colored Cardigans and sweaters may be worn, but no hoodies are allowed.
Skorts
Two-pleat plaid, khaki or navy skorts may be worn. Jumpers and dresses must be worn with modesty shorts.
Pants & Shorts
Pants and/or shorts must be khaki or navy. They must be classic cut. No cargo pants, work pants or navy or jeans of any kind are allowed. Pants and shorts may have two front pockets and one or two back-slit pockets. No extra pockets allowed. No fishing pants or fishing shorts allowed. No elastic waistband or elastic cuffs allowed. Pants and shorts may not be torn or have holes in them.
Footwear
Students may wear predominantly white, gray, black, brown or blue athletic shoes or neutral-colored dress shoes. Shoes must be closed-toe and closed-heel. Shoes may not have lights, wheels, bells, or characters.
No sandals, flip flops, Crocs, clogs, or tall boots allowed. Rain boots may
be worn on inclement weather days. For safety purposes, girls may wear heels under 1 inch.

Stockings & Leggings
Navy, white, or ivory stockings/leggings are permitted underneath skorts and dresses. They must be opaque, solid color (no patterns), and no seams up the back
The Dayspring administration reserves the right to consider any clothing and/or shoes that do not fully adhere to the spirit of these guidelines or the community expectations to be out of uniform.
